The problem with leaving is that his personality is exactly in line with what I've been looking for for the last fifteen years! Very warm and kind, funny, responsive, reflective, super-intelligent, and yet he teases me all the time, but in a nice way. He's not totally 'david de angelo' because he also opens up to me a lot, in conversation. We share similar spiritual values as well. Also he reminds me of another ex-boyfriend from my past - I was never quite able to get over, so getting together with him was like a second chance, a miracle.

I have pretty high standards, and he meets those standards - except for his current hot/cold nature.

Maybe you should consider polyamory so you find somebody else to fulfill your other needs.
