Cheap as chips in south-east Asia, as are most modest accommodations in the developing world. A few years ago I looked at French villas in Laos for $40-50/month. One has to remember, though, that resources & western-style high-paid jobs are rather scarce.
In Australian resorts (for the most part they're only in holiday/vacation places/motels/resorts) they're about $300 per night minimum. They ain't places you can live in on a permanent basis. Australia is mostly houses with big yards, apartments in the city centres, & the other usual European-style living quarters.
