Hey guys,
I'm not sure if this pain is from wrestling or doing powercleans, or this new stretch i started doing, but i'll describe it as best i can.
Basically the pain is in the base of my spine where my back meets my ass, right in that exact spot. Feels like it's right at the base of my tailbone, right above the poop chute. It isn't a throbbing pain or anything, it only hurts at certain times. If i straighten up my posture, push out my ass and arch my back, that's when it hurts the most.
Also, you know the muscle or whatever you use to cut off your piss? when i sit straight and flex that muscle, that really seems to aggravate it alot. I've tried just aggravating it as little as possible, and that didn't seem to help it get any better, so now i'm doing ashtanga yoga to see if that helps but so far it seems to have made it worse.
I'm really not sure how to proceed from here, but this is really pissing me off because i can't sprawl or do much of anything when i wrestle and i find it's really hampering my performance.
any advice would be much appreciated, on this injury in specific or just tailbone pain in general.
thanks!
ps...the stretch i mentioned earlier that i think may have caused it is basically just hanging from a chinup bar for as long as i can, letting my legs dangle and taking deep breaths. but i doubt this has caused it, i just mention it because the pain started around the same time i started the stretch....but i'm pretty sure the injury was caused from getting slammed during a meet.
