 What is the foundation of the relationship?

Happy New Year! Sorry to see you are at an impasse in your relationship. I am always curious what the basis/foundation of a relationship is? What is it that brought you together....some passion you share? In my way of thinking an affair is more about allegiance than physical activity (I say this from personal experience). Do you feel your passions are multiplied (or divided) by being with him. I am not sure one indiscretion constitutes bad faith. Can you be yourself with him or must you become someone else? Take care.
