Products That Are Supposed To Make You Feel Really Good (For No Reason)


I know it's a bit late, but I noticed there are some products out there that claim to make you feel happy, either for the holidays or just in general for no real reason or effort other than to click "play".

One of them I have tried and it seemed to work, the others I haven't, but I'll post their claim...


Holiday Cheer




I know it's late for this one, but the authors of this Paraliminal CD claims that after listening to it, a person will really feel the holiday spirit, as if the holiday came alive for them.

It is supposed to enhance the holiday spirit and really make it come alive for you.

There is also the claim it can make a person simply feel wonderful -

Some enjoy this CD so much that they want us to call it Ecstasy!

That allows a person to listen to it at anytime to feel as if any month or day is like a holiday.

Like most paraliminals, it consists of certain messages to both sides of your brain that you will hear through stereo headphones while in a relaxed state.

Then afterwards supposedly, automatically and spontaneously, you will feel the effects of the programing, which is joy, and holiday spirit in this case...

Happy for no Reason



Another Paraliminal, like Holiday Cheer, this one also claims to make a person feel "happy" cheerful, and joyous for no special reason at all.

Happy for No Reason is a perpetual happiness generator that will spontaneously bring you greater happiness in every area of your life without you having to do anything more than pushing the play button on your CD player or iPod.

Big claim, but is it really that simple???

The programming on this CD is also based on a book by Marci Shimoff, due out soon, who has studied happiness for 30 years.

Here are some more claims for this CD:

- Move past stuck emotions that keep you from enjoying true happiness.

-Develop habits that support sustained positive experiences.

-Learn to forgive others, show compassion, and cultivate gratitude.

-Lean into thoughts that support happiness instead of those that make you miserable, or at the least ho-hum.

Haven't tried this one yet, though curious....



Attitude Activator - Rex Sikes




This CD IS similar to Paraliminals in that it uses multiple voices in the left and right ears and you use stereo headphones, but it comes from different authors and companies.

It has programming that claims to change your attitude in an instant. You can go from feeling lousy to feeling great after listening to it, because it supposedly goes straight to your mental attitude that makes you feel the way you are feeling.

Depending on when and how you listen to it, you can also use it for different results:

People have used it to get up easily filled with energy, to go to bed relaxed, to quit smoking, to gain weight, to loose weight, to exercise more, to eliminate bad habits, to start doing good habits - that's the beauty of this program.

You can use it for multiple desires. Start with one area you wish to improve or eliminate before working on the rest. This tape is a best seller for over ten years

I once listened to this program while outside in the evening at my job, for about 45 minutes. When I came back inside, I suddenly really felt energetic and charged as if I got a load of rest and then just drunk coffee - it seemed to come out of nowhere.

Another thing I like about this program is the voices, it's fun! The female and male voices are sometimes sexy and sensual while they're delivering the messages to you. Along with soothing jazz-like music.

Dream Play - Program Your Dreams?




This is not a pleasure CD but it can be interesting. This CD claims to be able to help you have the dreams you want, and then become lucid in them.

It's another paraliminal, so you will need headphones, and you will hear voices in your right and left ears with specific programing for each side of your brain.

On one track, you can choose the type of dream you want to have, the second track helps you to become aware that you're dreaming so you can fully enjoy and interact in them..

I have this program and have tried it... it doesn't always work for me, so I call it "hit or miss" with this. The times it has worked is when I wanted to have an out of body experience and it worked the same night. I simply requested that type of dream at the beginning of the track (you are asked what type of dream you would like to have at the beginning)...

The other time it worked was during a time when I was interested in the concept of meditation and enlightment.. one night I had a dream that I had turned into a crystal-like angel being with vibrations inside that felt unbelieveably blissful.

So for me it worked sometimes, but not for others which could mean a placebo effect, or just another quirk of how these CDs work....
