I find it easier myself to just go straight to that time I want to wake up and hold it no matter what. Because then you just have to adjust massively once and keep that same time daily.
When you go down 15 minutes a day, it's like everyday is *groan* another day getting up early then the previous day.
However, if this is the best way for you, I wish you much success!
