Technology improvements will see people being able to make a decision more and more on where do we want to live rather than based on having to be close to where we work.
My brother at present tries to work 2 days per week from home saving him from 2 hours of driving. This is as a result of him being networked from office computer. I am not sure that you will see mass migration of people to move to other countries. Instead you will see more people looking to move to country towns, where the housing is cheaper and less fuel is used. But mainly better lifestyle.
Who knows the mass migration from country to city that has been going on for over a century and still happening big time in China may actually reverse.
