I feel rushing around once a year to gift everyone I rarely talk to [with gifts they won't like anyways] just to observe a religious holiday in which I or most of my friends have no interest in is something not very worthwhile for me. It's just a time/money waster as well as a big insult to everyone involved.
What I
will be doing near the end of this month, however, is getting together with a friend on a sort of "relax and talk about our adventures" afternoon. We'll share ideas and a few crafted gifts for our future travels. Some are symbolic of new travels while others are useful for actually traveling.
That's my favorite holiday; one you can make up with friends for any theme/occasion.
