Xanafax, don't try to do it or even plan to do it - the harder you try to give something up the more it works against you. Remember Yoda? "Do or do not, there is no try"

instead surround yourself with articles and websites and people who can give you reasons/testimonials/horror stories about meat and one day you'll find yourself casually bypassing the chicken.

make sure you have at least 2 friends (physically) that are openly vegetarian or raw and go for lunch with them and hang out with them a lot.

I've been slowly and unintentionally weaned off the meat diet over 2 years just by doing that.

I'm applying the same principal to make other shifts in my life too (surround yourself with it and you will become it - look at ashley/mary kate, they spend their time at fashion shows surrounded by supermodels, and are stick thin themselves.) trying to resist your surroundings is one of the hardest things, I've found.
