They definitely can stand up for themselves. With that said though, I do think most women find it attractive if their man can stand up for them too. It also shows the woman that the man is confident in himself and maybe a primordial level it shows he can protect her.

I'm really into kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and called the gym Bas was at to see if he would train me. He said he was no longer training people and asked me what I did (which was doing clothing for people), he said he needed some t-shirts done, I did them, and then started doing the rest of his products; dvds, shirts, posters, etc. Everything did really well and we've been friends since. This was about 5 years ago.
