I think if they're still committed to providing value, the rest of the workforce would engage in providing value without looking for monetary rewards, ie the end of money. I've thought of this before, too, if the basic needs are no longer tied to money, money will become a bit of a luxury, I believe.
That may mean that people would actively go out and meet new people and make friends and provide value to others with their friendship. Value does not have to be the kind that is or can be traded for money.
