I think your post is correct, and the sensible thing to do is refrain from all those pitfalls you highlighted. What I'm hoping is that a few people will come on here and give some examples of WHAT to do and HOW. Not to spoonfeed, but it might simply open other avenues of thought.

I suspect that many people come on this site and these forums hoping that Steve will show them the magic pathway to success- not a quick fix solution, but an alternative way of thinking that may work. When the advice is simply to "provide and deliver value" is this not just a bit disheartening?

Please Steve if you read this, I'm not knocking your article, but it doesn't address the real problem and I think deep down we all know this. How can anyone take the article you've written and do anything practical with it (other than perhaps not join an MLM scheme?)

In a way this site could be said to be like the big drug companies- offers a quick high feeling, but, let's face it, we don't want to actually cure them forever!
