Why exactly do you want to gain weight? You may already be at a healthy weight. My advice would be to attempt to increase your muscle mass, and if you want to gain muscle mass instead of just getting fatter, you're going to need to overcome your fear of the gym. I don't know what it's like in Somalia, but I've never noticed anybody staring coldly at anyone else in a gym and to do so would generally be considered a faux-pau. It sounds like you're just reaching for an excuse not to go to a gym. If you absolutely can not attend a gym regularly, then invest in some home equipment.

What you're going to want to do is read everything that you can about weight training and develop a program to suit your needs. Generally speaking, more reps with less weight will increase endurance, and less reps with more weight will build muscle mass. Your program may vary, but some staple lifts that you should include are deadlifts, bench presses, cleans, and squats.

As far as diet goes, just try to eat a balanced diet and naturally eliminate as much junk food and whatnot as possible. You'd do well to perhaps consult a doctor or a dietician and discuss your diet and lifting program with them. I've seen people gain some weight just lifting and eating a balanced diet, but it doesn't hurt to consult a professional.

e: Sorry, meant to say "gain" in the first sentence. Also, you mean "losing," not "loosing," which isn't a word.
