i dont think that would work the same

apparently you need the different tones of 4.5hz 8.5hz and so on to stimulate the different wave patterns in your brain, delta and theta, so unless the person who put the track together knew his/her stuff and intentionally put these tones into the track using a wave generator and ocilloscope, then youd be pretty much creating random wave patterns in your brain, which is no use what so ever as you get that through your daily life anyway.

i think the idea is to bring both hemispheres of your brain into syncronisation on either a theta or delta wave lenght, then by the use of guided instruction whilst in this state you should acheive greater focus, more rappidly than usual.
