Being a "good employee" means being so dedicated to your job that you work on your own time. I'm 4 years out of college. I've worked in the software industry and now I'm a high school teacher, it's true in both places. Sometimes I feel like ambition is overrated, just give me a mind numbing job that I can forget about when I get home.
