essential fatty acids supplements for acne
Hi Everyone,
I've had moderate to severe acne since my freshman year of high school. It gradually decreased as I got older, but I still had enlarged pores and blackheads on my nose and everyone once in a while I still would get a full fledged pimple. At one point I went to a dermatologist and was put on oral tetracycline. It only gave me partial relief from acne and I didn't like the side effects. Over the summer I read a book about natural beauty enhancers which suggested taking omega three fatty acid supplements such as fish oil or flax seed oil, or evening primrose oil and also applying tea tree oil. Fish oil is revolting to me so I got flax seed and evening primrose gel caps at the health food store. I had dramatic improvement within a few days. Lately I've been tinkering with the formula and have doubled my intake of omega three and within few days my old enlarged pores and what I thought was acne "scarring" that I would have forever have begun to disappear. Wish I had taken before and after pictures.
