Spirit guides using a rat to get me out of bed?
Last night, I asked the gods/spirit guides help in getting me out of bed at 5AM, which I usually wouldn't do, but at the time I was tired and sick of my lack of self discipline.
(Be careful what you wish for. It might just come true. O_o)
Anyway, I woke up before the alarm went off. At ten to four in the morning, because the birds that live in my room were freaking out. And I pretty much freaked out when I heard rustling, my dad came down, there was a rat behind the bookcase and it wasn't budging, so he went back to bed and I decided there was no harm in leaving it, since the birds were back in their cage and I figured it would stay put.
No such thing.
Ten minutes later it was roaming around my room, and I was pretty much begging my spirit guides to get it OUT. Now, I can't communicate with my guides pretty well, and it might've been my subconscious messing around with me like it likes to, but I heard something about a "lesson" and someone tried to reason with me about how having a rat in one's room isn't very scary when you think about it (something like "what's the worst thing it's going to do, bite you? Even then, what's going to happen?") in perspective.
Anyway, the rat continued to rummage. It would NOT get out of my room. I decided to try sleep anyway, changed my alarm to 6AM, because I'd be danged if I got up while that thing was still rummaging around. An hour later, ten to five, it was STILL going. I fell on and off into sleep, since whenever I was on the border of sleep it would get too close to my bed for me to be comfortable, and I'd jerk back into full wakefulness. By this time, I was more irritated than scared.
Finally, at twenty past five, I "woke up" again to find a weight on my bed - the rat was less than a meter from my FACE, sitting RIGHT ON THE BED. It bolted once I moved, and I wasn't scared for some reason - just irritated. And I don't remember if it continued to rummage, but I ended up getting up.
And it's no longer in the room. It's gone into the other room, FINALLY.
Do you think it's possible that the rat was something trying to get me to get the heck out of bed and -not- go back to sleep? Now I'm wide awake and up, I don't feel scared at all and realise I wasn't in any harm - after all, it didn't bite me when it could have. I mean, it's a bizarre way, but it sure as heck worked. O_o
