I'm currently in a situation where I need to begin working. I want to work, but I also want it to matter something. I've been out of work for so long, that it seems like I may have to fall back on my experience as a cashier which I really don't want to do. I feel like its going back to a job that not only I got fired from, but didn't like to begin with. I believe I had outgrown it.

I'm staying with a friend whom is telling me to beat the streets, and the online isn't going to net me work.

So do you go backwards to go forwards? Your thoughts please.
