Talking My Own Life List

You know I read about him in a Tony Robbins book about 20 years ago. It wasn't until recently that I decided to do my own list. I've some items crossed off but I have to admit that I'm not moving as fast as I'd like to. Off the top of my head I have a few self suggestions for myself.
  1. Create a Time Constraint
  2. Make a Backwards List
  3. Focus on One List Item at a time

1. Create a time constraint:
Obviously this means that by adding an end date to each item I'll be able to focus a little more on that particular item.

2. Make a backwards list
By moving backwards from the target I can come up with a plan. For example in my 'eliminate my debt' item I came up with...
  • Recieve receipt for final payment
  • Make final debt consolidation payment
  • Begin consolidation payments
  • Make arrangements with consolidation company
  • Research consolidation companies and choose one
  • Obtain list of debts

This is a partial list of course but by working up from the bottom I can have a plan. Also by adding time constraints to each of those items I can laser focus my goal.

3. Focus on one item at a time.
This one is obvious. Spreading myself all over my life list defocuses me and I wind up not doing any of them.

These actually have worked for me. I sure would like any other suggestions.
