Hi Captain R.D. Obvious
You must feel a bit disheartened about your situation but don't give up hope! I think this is a very common story for a lot of people.
Me included.
It starts with very good intentions, a burst of positive energy and action, and then a slippage back to 'old ways' and 'old habits'.
When I've experienced this, I've had to look at whether the changes are want are important enough to me, and
if I believe I can achieve them. Sometimes at the conscious level we believe, but under the skin we have the voices in our head telling us we can't. Inside the depths of our heads, we have beliefs that tell use we will fail.
I've turned to the
Law of Attraction, discussed heavily on this forum. If you can build strong beliefs that you can achieve your goals, then this is a good start. You also need to remove the beliefs that you will fail. Very important. Once you've begun this process,
it will accelarate.
I'm not going to go on about the Law of Attraction because it's covered here, and I think Paul Piotrowski on his blog InspiredMoneyMaker
explains it better than I could, so take a look at that.
You could also try setting yourself many more small goals rather than one big one, as this will have a better effect as you gain more confidence and belief at each milestone.
Good luck!
P.S. Just spotted this great post on
Maria Gajewski's blog
Never The Same River Twice where she talks about decision making that sticks and procrastination:
