It's about taking action.

I would recommend that you start a gratitude journal. Every day, before you go to sleep, write down 3 things that you are grateful or happy about that happened that day.

Talking about this in terms of “bad news” or “bad judgment by business leaders” seems archaic. It’s like describing World War One as “a serious diplomatic concern.”
