Think of free will and destiny like a map. You have a destination, but many roads will take you there. Some are shorter, others more scenic, some roads are fraught with danger and road hazards. But eventually, you reach your destination. Broken or intact, in short order or in a long period of time, happy or sad.... you still reach it. How you get there is up to you. Where you go is predetermined, HOWEVER, even your destination can be changed using free will. Perhaps you decide you don't want to get to X-city. You can alter your destination.
