I was browsing the internet at my then-crappy job and ran across a link to either the giving up caffeine post or the becoming an early riser post. This was a really depressing, difficult time for me, and I wanted to work on improving things about myself so that I'd have control over something in my life, since I didn't seem to have much control over a lot of other things in my life. The funny thing is that his posts started to take on a metaphysical flavor around the time that I needed to be reading that sort of thing. I haven't journalled my progress, so I don't have a record of exactly how exactly my life and outlook have changed, but I know that they have -- dramatically. I've gained a lot of hope and stability over the year or so that I've been reading Steve's (and then Erin's) blog(s). So I suppose this means that they met their goal in reaching the consciousness of one reader in cyberspace! I tell all my friends and family about the site (especially my mom and brother, who are very interested in personal development) but they haven't quite caught on yet...
