hey. about that weather thing.

It helps if you meet a person where they are and then lead them to where you are.

What I mean is, instead of reacting with a big question like, "what's been the best weather of your life?", you can say: "You're right. I really liked the weather two days back. But, then that is why it's called weather, haha."

Now, you have connected with them and also invested yourself in the conversation. Now, it's up to them. If they come back with an anecdote, then you can ask that question u asked. If they dont, then you have been polite and no issues. Of course, if it is someone you are interested in talking with, persist and change the topic if needed and smile with your eyes.
