How is it that animals and bird can often "see spirits" while most humans can't?
Apparently my mom's dog often reacts as if it is seeing some kind of ghost or whatnot; it will be yappy and barking and rushing into a room, for example, when suddenly it will stop in its tracks and stare at the ceiling as if it sees something. My mom's father passed away in the same house this happens in, and my family thinks it's his ghost. He *did* pass away somewhat traumatically - his heart essentially exploded and he was only in his mid-40's I believe. But he passed away about 30 years ago now, so it doesn't seem to make sense to me that his 'spirit' would *still* be floating around the house... or does it?
