 Visiting in Dreams
It is possible to visit people in dreams without their being aware of it - I've experienced this myself. About 2 years ago I was going through a very difficult time and my brother, concerned about my health, asked a gifted friend of his to help me. She spent probably a year (on and off) doing healing work on me in the dream state. We eventually met late last year, and I had no idea this had taken place. I suspect my lack of recollection was either due to the difference in my vibrational state between waking and sleeping (I simply couldn't carry the experiences through to my waking consciousness), or the difference in vibration between us - she carries a high frequency.
If you want to learn more about Astral Projection, I'd recommend the 3 books by Robert Monroe - they don't go into developing technique so much, but they're a great read. The Monroe Institute have an audio program to develop technique (it's pricey) and there is also a book & CD program by Robert Bruce.
