I came here in response to a posting about the Law of Attraction. My website,
The Law of Attraction: Synopsis of its History and Methods is a compendium of information on this and other related laws.
I am always looking for new information and new ideas to help us all to move forward.
I was interested by Alarin's post. I agree with some, yet not with all of what you say. Certainly, part of LOA is to notice opportunities and to be inspired to action. And, part of it is to believe in yourself, so that you have the courage to act when opportunity is offered, such as in the checkout line example.
Yet, there is another part of it that is more mysterious. I live outside NYC and travel to it 6 days a week. When I remember to visualize the end of my trip (arriving at a parking space on time for work) at the beginning, and when I hold that image, it doesn't matter whether there is an accident or traffic slowdown on one part of the trip. Another part of the trip always allows me to catch up, as long as I keep
faith that I will get there on time. If I get caught up in frustration and worry, I am lost in the present and lose the vision and don't get there on time. I am sure this has validity beyond my experience because in Florida, car insurance is discounted if you have a good sound system.
Similarly, when talking with business people, if they tell me that they can't help me, I just keep them on the phone while I clear (Using Ho'oponopono -
Joe Vitale: Author, Mentor and Marketing Guru) and in a short while they seem to have forgotten that they had been saying "NO" and they are giving me what I want.
I am currently studying Thomas Troward and will have a page (LOL - my "pages" are more like 20 pages) on him soon. Anyone interested?
Thanks for the chance to join you all.
