She simply has a different style than your usual politican.
As a major you have to hold speeches. But she's self taught.
The speeches she gave as major weren't probably weren't in debates. In this debate you see very clearly that she sees public speaking as giving monologes. Shes experience in that style of public speaking.
The success of her speech at the national convention also shows that she is skilled at public speaking. Yes, someone else wrote the words, but she delivered that speech excelently.
In addition she got a really good support rating for playing that persona in Alaska. She has no reason to change herself.
It's scary.
