I would feel very hurt is my husband thought our relationship was like a holiday or a trip, because, holidays or trips
always end. And often, they are too short. I obviously don't share the same views as you in this regard, and if my husband shared these views, I'd look elsewhere for someone who has the same views as me in this area.
I don't think I know anyone in my circle of friends that feels this way about relationships. But then again, I surround myself with people whose values reflect my own.
