Post Daily: Three Things

It's clear that if I don't put some sort of limit on my participation here, I'll be using way too much time much too ineffectively. So I'm going to twist the following idea to suit my own needs:

In George R. R. Martin's series, Song of Ice and Fire, in A Feast for Crows, one of the characters is told not to return each day unless she could state three new things that she had learned. This could be as simple as a new word in another language. Even though it wasn't explicitly stated, I got the impression that it was supposed to be something useful in some way.

So here's my take:

If I want to post or even read, I've got to have my list of three things at the ready before I log in. This buys me one pass through the list of sections.

I'd love to see other people contribute their own! Imagine what a cool thing we could have.

So, I'll start it off with my very first list:

Daniel Terhorst's List #1 - 11/05/06

1) Google has a pretty nice RSS feed reader, mentioned elsewhere on the forum.

2) I knew from a long time ago that the kanji "同" means something like "same." The other day while watching ウルフズレイン I figured out that the word "おなじ" means "same." But it wasn't until today while reading 犬夜叉 that I linked the two together, "同じ." D'oh!

(I think I just let on how little of the language I know...)

3) Ever heard of 55 Fiction? Neither had I. Sounds interesting!
