Can you please explain to me the benefit of the 30 day challenge. Well I have a few ideas, but you seem to be a success at it. So surely you could give me a few pointers into starting AND finishing my own one.
It's divide and conquer strategy:
divide your goals in to manageable units and conquer them.

Goals are divided in to following categories:
Physical, Mental, Psychological, Spiritual, Social, Financial, Career, Fun, Family,
Adventure, Hobbies.

and then

4 years vision (similarly that of Olympics )
2 years
1 year
6 months
3 months (90 days)
1 month (30 days)
and basic element of accomplishment is ONE SINGLE DAY.
If you can conquer one day by day you can conquer entire life.

21 days are essential for forming habits and more 9 days are good for
Over Killing.

I would suggest you to read these articles:

1) Google Answers: Effectively forming new habits

2) 30 Days to Success
