You probably had a spontaneous out of body experience. It happens.
When you die you won't be alone. Either your deceased loved ones or an angel will come and greet you and help you make the transition. The only caveat to that is sometimes when people die instantly and unexpectedly it can take a short while for this process to be initiated.
