Then you have missed the point.
Certainly, the manifestation of your intentions will often involve you and your own actions. For YOU are the center of your own reality. If you refuse to take part, then effectively you are commanding a large part of your reality to NOT cooperate in making your intentions come true.
On the other hand, there are many other parts of reality which appear (to a non-LOA believer) to be beyond your control. Nevertheless the LOA practitioner knows that you CAN influence it.
I will give you a simple example which I have already previously mentioned in this forum.
I manifested the intention to speak at an industry conference. Actually I had no reputation as a speaker at such conferences. I had never done it before. I did not even know what conferences were being organised, or who I could approach or ask.
Within seven days of my manifestation, the opportunity came to me. I did nothing to get it - except send out the intention. I did not tell anyone, I did not send out any email, I did not do any research on who organises such international conferences, where the next conferences were going to be held, I did not call anyone on the telephone to ask for an opportunity.
But the opportunity came irresistibly to me, through a curious chain of events which I only learned about later. This chain of events started two days after I had manifested my intention - it all started with someone, who was already scheduled to speak at a conference, pulling out unexpectedly, and ended with the organisers being passed from one contact to another contact to another contact, before they were finally referred to me as a potential replacement speaker.
You'd have to pay $3,000 just to sit in the audience and listen to the speakers (including me).
Etc.
So my intention to speak at an international conference manifested into an actual invitation one week later, and I accepted, and the following week, I was the youngest speaker at a highly prestigious conference organised by a global organisation.
Actually, these kinds of incidents are quite common. They are really what you'd expect to see what happen, if you apply IM properly. Yes, your own actions ARE important. They're as important as all those other actions which you can't personally take, but which also need to occur, before your desired outcome can come about.
