Despite the overused "law of attraction" label, I think it's more accurate to think of IM as a skill, not a law. At a certain level it works like a law, but most people are interested in manifesting specific intentions, which is where it becomes a skill.
If it were a law that you manifested whatever you decided to manifest, it would work every time universally for everyone at 100% effect. But of course that isn't what we see. We see some total duds, near hits, and the occasional hole-in-one. I've also noted that those practicing IM longer tend to get stronger and more consistent results than others. And overall, newbies who are trying IM for the first time generally suck at it. This is the pattern you'd expect from a skill, not a law.
I think of IM as a skill of consciousness, similar to lucid dreaming. I began lucid dreaming almost 13 years ago and learned to do many things in a lucid dream, but there's also so much more I want to try. I've been deliberately practicing IM for much less time, but I absolutely love the results.
