Fairly new to this site, but def have some insight per my research and experiences.
Everyone has the ability to connect to their High Self and in some way to their assigned spirit guides, however, there are those who have genetic ability to do more.
There are those who are genetically apt to communicate or interact with the 'Other Side' (like they
can talk to or
be spoken through by spirits who are not incarnate AND can also communicate with angels who are not 'assigned' to them specifically, etc.). You can either recognize this Gift early in life (2-13yoa) OR it can be instigated at a later point in life (20+ yrs. This was my experience).
There's a another group of folks who are genetically apt for reading energy (dowsers). Again, you can learn how to do this at an early age or later (my story is 'later' too
).
Also, here's a good tidbit- someone can be a good dowser, but not psychic..a psychic, but not a dowser, or someone can be Gifted in both areas.
