only 6 grams of simple carbs out of 85 and 60 grams of protein. 850 calories. One shake in the morning one at night and you should see improvement in a week or two. I would at least recommend some decent resistance training though.
If you want to get your moneys worth, you have to check the weight of powder in the bottle, plus the serving size. Some of these have 24 gm serving size, but they only count 1 scoop as a serving. The ones that say 60 gms per serving usually have a serving size of 3 scoops so you aren't really getting a bargain. Also, I prefer the stuff with low cholesterol and low fat. Some of these mass gainers are heavy with both of those. In general, I would say, use the protein powder every three to four hours during the day, but get your calories from food. It's better.
