What you have to do is change your mindset so the benefits of cleaning your room outweigh the negatives. Right now you won't clean your room because your mind can't see what you will get out of it. It's just seen as a chore, and you kind of wish you could have it clean. Anthony Robbins talks about how you need to make the positives of any one thing outweigh the negatives.
Now for a simple thing as tidying your room, I think the best thing to do would be set a 30 day plan. So commit to tidying your room to spotless every day for 30 days and this will build a habit. Also write out how a tidy room is so beneficial. I know that research shows that having a tidy room can make you feel more organised and subtly makes you more organised elsewhere in your life as a follow on effect. Also if you complete the 30 day challenge this will give you the confidence to do the 30 day challenge in other areas, giving more confidence in yourself and improving self discipline.
