Or to work when I don't feel passionately inspired to. Or to take care of the household chores regularly enough to keep the house clean at all times.

You don't need self-discipline if you have enough clarity about what you want, and playfully develop a few strategies to help you. I wrote a post about it if you're interested: Magical Chest » Does it take self-discipline to go raw?
I'm not necessarily saying that you have a lot of self discipline, perhaps for you its easier to go on certain diets than it is for others. Also building clarity on what you want, and developing strategies all require self discipline.

We all have not only different levels in self discipline, but we also have things that were more disciplined in than others. For example I tend to have more self discipline in the area of planning (or developing strategies) were as some one, else might have more self discipline in what they eat.

You may have self discipline in your diet, with out even realizing it, because you lack discipline in other areas of your life. For you eating certain foods, because there healthy, might seem easy, and like no big deal, thus you don't feel like your practicing any self discipline, but you are.

P.S. I still haven't read your article yet, but I will.
