My theory is that Peter ends up being around that radioactive guy and can't control it any more than radioactive guy could. My next guess is that Haitian saves him by cancelling out the power just before he goes supernova.
Did anyone see the image behind Isaac (the painter) of what looked like Johnny Storm from Fantastic Four? What was that supposed to be?
