Hello. I realized that the last time we spoke I didn't bother to introduce myself properly, as I would if I was meeting someone here on Earth for the first time. Sorry about that, it's a little strange to realize that I'm speaking with spirits outside of my normal, day-to-day reality.

I'm not just after spiritual guidance tonight though. If it comes up great, but mostly I want to get to know who I am speaking with, and how you became my guides. And what that means exactly. Are you present all the time? And why?

Hello Dan. Yes, we are your guides. We have been following you for years actually, since you were a boy. So we know your backstory, and we aren't afraid to see events in your life within that context. We chose to follow you specifically because, well, your life is a pretty interesting one, on many levels. The incarnation you are presently in is an example, of sorts, to anyone watching. Even though you may not always feel that way as you are living it. You have been given a lot of strength, but in the same way that iron becomes hardened when held over a fire.

Well, it's great to meet you guys. What should I call you?

Slade's term "God Posse" is fine. Or Love Posse. Just not Love Plushy.

LOL. I won't call you Love Plushy, I promise. Or will I? Hehehe.

You can if you really want to. We think your relationship with Nick is wonderful by the way. You two really make each other happy.

You can be with him for as long as you like. That is the contract with you two, whether it is spoken out loud or not. He will be there for you always, and always in a positive, upbeat way.

Well, that sounds great. I want to be with him too. So how many of you are there? Are you sure I should address you as a group, and not with individual names?

Either is fine. We do have individual energies, so naming us may be helpful to you. There are six of us right now. There have been as many as eight when your life was more complex (tangential).

How about I call you the studly six? Does that work?

Ok, ok. Will I ever be able to see you guys visually? By the way, are you all guys or is it guys and girls?

It's guys and gals, there is feminine energy in the mix here for sure. You won't be able to see us firsthand for some time. I know that may be disappointing to you, but your root chakra is basically completely stunted. Even if that was not the case, your beliefs would have to change too drastically if we came through to you in any way other than this. Right now a part of you still explains all this away as just being a contact with part of your subconscious. Which is valid, but it's not the whole story.

Most of us. A few of us here are watching your life in preparation for our own incarnations.

Can I ask you a few questions about my life path?

I've sort of been obsessed with money my whole life. Even since Mom drilled the idea of 401ks into my mind when I was, what, seven?

Sounds about right..

Well, recently, I decided that money isn't as big a deal as I thought it was. And very recently, actually on the road trip last week, I felt like I had a revelation about what life is all about. Creative expression. We're here to learn how to create, albeit under very difficult, slow moving, and sometimes confusing circumstances. Is that correct?

That's not all you are here for. Creative expression, like money, is simply a means to an end. The end is always joy.

Does it make sense to always just do what brings me the most joy then?

You and those around you. You forgot an important concept you had learned before: sphere of influence. People make the mistake of thinking that when they expand their sphere of influence it automatically means that they have more power, in fact, they just have more responsibility. The flip side of that is that loving decisions made within the context of a greater sphere of influence are rewarded that much more as well.

Sort of like a karma multiplier of sorts?

Exactly.

What is karma exactly?

Karma is how much better you made life for others than if you had not been there at all.

Others meaning humans?

Others means all living things, not just humans.

And better means more joyous?

Exactly.

So the best way to improve karma is to spread joy.

Seems obvious, doesn't it?

It does. So what is the best way for me to spread joy?

Honestly Dan, you do it every day already. You take a lot of joy in your life, and the only time you really seem let down is when you notice that others aren't having as much fun as you are. You would act like a big carefree kid everyday if you weren't self conscious of people watching and judging you for it. That's great -- it means you are naturally prone to spread joy. The things to avoid are the things that tend to keep you from using your natural talents to enjoy life as you do.

Like my current full time job?

Exactly. Company Name is not a joyous environment, obviously. CallTech was more fun, right? Even though it didn't pay as well.

Right. Well, I don't want to quit and have Nick think I'm a flake.

Don't be a flake then. You are exactly right to have concerns about your own stability in this relationship. Stay on stable footing, Nick expects you to hold up your end of things, especially with as much as he is already taking on.

The clubhouse can be your creative expression for now. And your domains. You are granted time to work on all of them, and to learn Python.

You were. Nothing really happens on Earth without another part of reality noticing and following it.

Your family will be fine with you coming out to them. We know you've been meditating on that.

I have, yeah. I figured they would handle it Ok.

They will. It will be another aspect for you to set a positive example in, considering that you and Nick will probably be together for quite a while.

Why does evil exist?

It exists because it wants to. It's not a complex energy, just a persistent one.

Will I encounter it?

Not any time soon. Not like you are thinking. If you do, just move on. You are on your own road to fulfillment, not a quest to vanquish evil. Such a quest would be, in and of itself, evil anyway, since it would disallow free will.

How are joy and free will related?

They are the same.

What about when free will is destructive?

It's still joyful in those cases. Take this example: You choose to smack someone who made you angry. You don't feel that pain of that injury yourself, so you are taking joy in expressing yourself through violence, even though the result is destructive.

It is this use of free will that necessitates karma, to remedy disparities in a separated world.

Separated meaning dualistic?

Exactly.

So, the more I express my free will, the more joy I will feel, assuming karma is left out of the picture.

Exactly.

And karma is in place to ensure a certain equality of freedom.

Exactly.

Does karma come back three fold or just one fold?

It could be either, depending on the situation and the intent.

What is the relationship between karma and math?

Everything can be expressed in math, if you only look at that aspect of reality.

Ok, enough deep thoughts. How do you guys know so much about all this anyway?

When you cross over you see things from a different perspective. Time is not the same here, it loops to show us what you see, but we see it all at once, so to speak. There's no great wisdom in the answers we're giving you, just a perspective that is more unconstrained than yours.

Wait, there's no great wisdom? What am I supposed to do with all this data then? You guys are supposed to be smart.

Well, as little wisdom as there is, it was still more than you knew, wasn't it?

One last thing. It seems really counter intuitive to live my life and ignore so many people around who seem so down and out. How can I reconcile that?

You need faith. Those people are down and out because of their decisions. That isn't to say you can't be empathetic, or help sometimes, you can and should when it doesn't derail your own path. But giving away money to someone who will just abuse it helps no one. Real faith is knowing that you'll meet the people you are supposed to, when you are supposed to, in a blessed way. And you've seen that quite a bit over the years.
