I've recently got my hands on a biography and analysis of Genghis Khan's life by Steve Mann and found the book very interesting and inspirational. (It's a very hard read though, so I'm not even halfway done with it yet).

Seeing the effect it had on me, I was wondering if there are any other people whose lives I could draw inspiration from?

What kind of historical people would you recomend that I look at if my main career interest is politics and economics, and my hobbies are reading about science and warfare (both conventional and unconventional).
