See how you can do both, in a part time way.
You business can be great in the evening or weekends and the make-mom-happy one
in a 3 or 4 days per week job.
By the way, do not blame your mom or parents, they mean well. And for what I learned from Asian parents: you have to take care of them one day. They want you to do well in your job, so you can provide them good care when they need it in the future.
So maybe if you can show a plan how you provide them a good pension plan, they can see your point too.
