"O you Circuit I types, you are not going to be making it this time around...you baby-faced cowards are headed straight to Hell,
O you Circuit II macho-types, you are headed right behind them,
O you Circuit III bookworms, you are not getting any heavenly pleasures either...We might decide to save a few quantum physicists though, if We so desire,
O you Circuit IV ones, you make it a close decision for Us...We would recommend you, especially those with the big offices and the empty lives, to smoke some pot before you die,
O you Stoners and Shroomers, you shall be spared...if you reach Circuit VII, We will make sure you DONT stop laughing, that you NEVER stop laughing
And,...as a Special Gift to those brave ones who make it to Circuit VIII, We will make sure that your minds EXPLODE in a way you could have never imagined.
It will be worth EVERYTHING in the world...it will be worth DYING for!" |
I've messed around with various cosmologies like this for a long time. I think there is an ego trap in creating higher levels of consciousness... some sort of ladder we're all supposed to climb up and proclaim 'I am God. I am enlightened.'
It's not that we are not God, though we hide it from ourselves. It's that this is not the way to reveal that knowledge. It is actually the opposite: through a state of humility and service that true power is acquired. There is no higher state of consciousness, no cosmic goal to reach, no prophecy, no proclamation. That is all bullsh*t. You are an instrument and the Source works through you.
I have met plenty of people who have burned holes in their head taking psychedelics. These drugs do open some mysteries in the mind, but to make the leap that one is God because they bought a hit of four-way is presumptuous and stupid.
As Alan Watts said, "Once you get the message, hang up the phone."
