Why, whenever a baby is born, not only the name and date of birth is stated but also the
weight. What is this all about??? Do I really need to know the weight of the baby of my coworker? Who cares if it is x,y, or z pounds? Is this a relict from ancient times when people assessed the strenght and possible future by birth weight? Why don't we publish the weight at the time of death or at weddings: " Debby, 21 years old weighing 150 pounds got married to..."
Why are people so crazy about queueing? They say they hate it, but they volunteer all the time. Last weekend I flew from one European country to another. 1 hour before actual boarding people would already get into a queue at the gate. I sat there until the last minute and enjoyed reading my book while everyone was standing, waiting and queueing. And when I entered the airplane the best seats (the ones with most space for the legs in first row and at the wings) were still vacant. What is this all about? And as soon as the plane lands people jump to their feet and queue and wait in the plane until the doors open. Then they all run as fast as possilbe to the luggage belts just to wait and queue there because it takes at least another 20 minutes until the luggage arrives...
