My most memorable to date I have two stories actually.
First one goes like this. I needed to replace my boxsprings and mattress. Since I live out in the country I really did not know where to go or how much it was going to cost so I hopped in my truck and drove to the nearest town where I went to the bank and withdrew $300. I also had additional cash in my wallet but I had not counted it recently. I figured I had enough to purchase a set probably so I went on my way. I began thinking to myself where can I find this. A little voice in my head said to drive to the next town and that I would see the sign. I remember thinking to myself but.. I have a feeling that I am going to end up in the town that's after the one I'm driving to. So I'm driving along down the interstate expecting to see a big billboard sign or a sign on the side of a building with the word mattresses on it. When I exited the interstate I pulled up to the light and glanced to my left. There in the grass was someones little handmade sign that read boxsprings and mattresses for sale and it had a phone number. So, I called it. The person said it was an old sign and that he had sold all he had but recommended me to another store in the next town. I find this place, I walked in, found the set I wanted and when I went to pay for it I asked how much and the clerk said$636. I immediately thought that I did not have enough cash to pay for this and I will have to use my credit card. I counted my cash and I had exactly $636 in my wallet.
Second story. I work in the car business selling cars and I use LOA and all that biz on the job. It works great and alot of my peers are curious as to how I do it. I explain and they laugh it off. I've learned to not explain so much anymore because some people are afraid of new things and have trouble grasping it. But one day A colleague and I were outside talking. He had just recently closed a good deal and made some money and he mentioned that his feelings leading up to that deal were positive. It's almost as if he saw it coming. I laughed a little and thought to myself that I would blow his mind and here's what I did. I asked him how much money would he like to make by the end of the month. He told me $2000. I wrote it down on a piece of paper and then I asked him how he will feel when he reaches that goal. He said, "I will feel great". I said Ok. That was two days before the end of the month this past January. The very next day a customer walked in and purchased a car. Afterwards, he discovered that he just made $2000 exactly. He came up to me and was just blown away with our conversation that we had the day before. |
