Hi everyone,

I think most important ideas have already been expressed very nicely by others. I especially liked mncz's and jsam's posts. I just wanted to make a point about schizophrenia. One of the symptoms of schizophrenia that occurs to some degree in all patients is "impaired insight." This means that patients don't even recognize that something is wrong or different. They think they're right and everyone else is wrong. So if someone is questioning or wondering whether they're sane or not, that likely means they're closer to the side of sanity. People who end up with schizophrenia often don't even consider that they are schizophrenic, and when others suggest it, they don't believe them.

I'll also add my opinion that Laceyjade10 does not seem to be disturbed at all. She seems to be a psychic and emotionally sensitive individual, which is difficult to be in today's world. I know when I become more aware or sensitive due to spiritual practices or fasting, it can be hard to handle at first.

My advice to anyone who thinks they're becoming psychic is to read as many books as they can find on the topic. There are many reputable psychics who've written excellent books. One caveat: some psychics have a narrow view and may insist that their view is the one correct view. These kinds of psychics should be avoided.

My recommendation for excellent reading is anything by Dr. Judith Orloff. She's a psychiatrist who also happens to be psychic. She discusses her own difficult experiences being psychic in her books, as well as how to handle being an emotional empath.

Her life story is "Second Sight."
Her book on using psychic intuition safely is "Dr. Judith Orloff's Guide to Intuitive Healing."
Her latest book is "Positive Energy." I highly recommend this one, because it talks about how we can create positive energy around ourselves to achieve health, peace, and spiritual goals.
