If you can find girls willing to kiss you, and you can get numbers then you can get a girlfriend. My suggestion is, don't try and get a girl you want as a potential girlfriend into bed on the night you meet her.
Instead, just get her number and give her a call and ask her out! Go out with her, get to know her, and if things go well and you get along with each other, take it from there.
Instead if you're immediately trying to get a girl home and into your bed, she's going to think all you want is sex and if she's after a relationship that in itself will signal warning bells to her.
I also suggest you work on yourself to figure out why you were too ashamed to take your last girlfriend out in public... even if she's chubby, heaps of guys aren't afraid to show off their chubby girls, and no one else really cares!
