Teachers taught me pretty much squat. I had been trying to express similar thoughts but couldn't figure out how to explain it the way I wanted to, and you just did it perfectly. I was thinking about how homeschooled kids tend to do very well academically. My mom also taught me how to read well before kindergarten.
