I'm probably one of the few people here who know Steve from his game development days. He had a whole bunch of articles for game developers at his dexterity.com site, and a forum starting around 2001 I think. Eventually Steve closed down the forum at his site and handed control over to others. It's now at forums.indiegamer.com. Some time later he started this site. It was amazing to watch it grow from nothing to over a million visitors per month. I've never seen anything like that happen right before my eyes.

Around the time Steve started this site, I decided to quit my dissatisfying programming job and started to work fulltime on my computer game business. It has been a bumpy ride but I'm very thankful for my experiences and would make the same choice if I had to do it again. Steve also inspired me to become vegan, and to start exercising. I've been vegan for three years now.
