What a difficult situation and I'm so sorry for you! I give you a lot of credit for going through with this pregnancy and for not pandering to your difficult mother. If your mother doesn't support and love you, then I say let her go do her own thing. I feel that you should just be completely comfortable with your decision to grow your family, regardless of what an outside party things, even if that person is your mother. You should focus on being the best possible mother that you can be and let the parent/child estrangement that has occurred in your family's past, end with you and your mother, and not allow it to go on to any further generations.
